Can I use my NHS Prescription Charge Certificate to get free Dental treatment?
I have a NHS Prescription Charge Certificate to get free prescriptions. Can I use it to get free dental treatment? It's a Medical Exemption one.

- No. You may be entitled to free or reduced price dental treatment, but there's a different procedure.
- You should have had some kind of leaflet with the certificate or on the certificate there should be a phone number somewhere.. phone the number and the people on the phone will be able to tell you what the certificate entitles you for with regard to NHS charges
- No - in medical insurance - prescriptions are a completely different benefit than dental.
- No you need an HC1 form which you can get from here: http://www.ppa.org.uk/ppa/HC1_form_intro.htm
