How are chipped teeth treated for children? Are dental veneers suitable for children?

My nephew is 7 years old and has chipped his front upper tooth when he fell down on the ground. The missing piece of tooth is lost. What options are available for him to repair his tooth? will dental veneers be suitable for children? are there other safe options? Thanks

1. If it was a baby tooth then leave it alone. It's going to fall out and be replaced by an adult tooth anyway.
2. unless he's got his "adult teeth", I wouldn't even worry about it, and even if he does, 7 is way early for such things

4. my daughter has just had her chipped tooth mended...the dentist put a "piece" on the end of it and it looks great. even if its a milk tooth i wouldnt just leave it as it can still be painful not only the tooth itself but the jagged piece can make the mouth and tongue sore.
5. If it is your nephews first set of teeth then get him to go to the dentist and ask for some advice. Dental veneers are not really suitable for children as they have to destroy part of the tooth in order for the veneer to fit over the tooth. However they can repair it using compisit, which is a white filling material that will match your nephews tooth shading. It does not take very long to do and it looks great and feels better too. If you was to leave it then the tongue will naturally be drawn to that area and it can be quite sharp. hope i have been of some help

Don't worry when he goes to his dentist they will use white filler to shape a cap for the tooth mold it and shade it will take 5 min and as long as there is 11% of a tooth left they can rebuild it they don't need the missing bit will do it while he is not asleep Veneers are only a option for big teeth and they will only allow veneers if they cant rebuild the tooth but to be honest dentist now can preform amazing teeth with the new tooth whiting lasers and fast drying filler veneers are so last season. i had my front tooth done when i was 14 and now veneer taken out now im 27 and my own tooth has been rebuilt that was under my veneers perfect so don't worry
