Dental Scaling

How can I get dental treatment done in Canada as a United States citizen?

I'm an Iraq war veteran and the VA is refusing to continue a routine (but expensive) dental treatment which began while in the military. I cannot afford a dental plan and I do not qualify for Medi-Cal (California's single-payer health care for the poor). I'm willing to go to Canada to get this done. Anyone have any resources on how I can get this done through Canada's Medicare?

  1. Dental is not free in Canada. The only way you get Canadian dental care it to either pay for it out of your own pocket like 1/3 the population does, or you get a canadian/american job that pays in to company benefits with an amazing dental program and the program pays %50, %80 or %100. Then you pay the remainder out of your own pocket or bill it to your spouses program/dental benefits Well its true most of our "Health Care" is free, Dental is not included under our Health Care act unless its conciderd emergincy service which at that point you would need to be a canadian citizen to obtain a canadian health care card and advoid any heath care costs while in Canada,
  2. You need to get a local news station to air your story. The VA should be ashamed of themselves. Thank you for your bravery in protecting our country.
